Global Fitness Leominster

Post Covid, Global Fitness was looking for a total refresh of their 34,000 s.f. facility. In doing so, they wanted to change the late 90’s architectural motif with wavy and angular shapes to a more square and rectilinear look and feel. The whole space, including Group Fitness, Weight / Machine Gym Floor, Cardio Area, and MaxxTraxx Room were painted, changing a dark pastel palette to a more light, inviting, clean feeling space. Lighting was changed throughout as well. Additionally, a Spa, Tanning, and Massage area was created to bring in a new revenue stream. The front desk also needed updating. However, the huge concrete countertop was a significant element that would be very expensive to demo and change out. The team decided to replace the casework and laminate the front of the desk to create a more welcoming entrance for a reasonable cost. Lastly, an architectural feature wall was created for members and guests alike to take “selfies” for posting to their favorite social media page.

Much of the work was completed off-hours so the gym operation was uninterrupted, and the dust, noise, and disruption of construction was kept to an absolute minimum.
